My Playlist

  I have had such a fun time learning about different cultures and the music in this class. For this blog, I will be discussing some music from Asia, Hawaii, and Europe. The four music groups that I will be talking about are a J-Pop group, “BabyMetal”, a K-Pop group, ”Stray Kids”, a soloist from Norway, “Aurora”, and some traditional music from Samoa.  J-pop band BabyMetal Gimme Chocolate!! (English Translation) – BABYMETAL | Genius Lyrics BabyMetal is a Japanese metal band, also known as Kawaii (cute) Metal, that consists of three singers: Suzuka Nakamoto (SU-METAL), Yui Mizuno (YUIMETAL), and Moa Kikuchi (MOAMETAL). This J-Pop group is a “mix” of Japanese music and heavy metal. The song I chose from this group is “Gimme Chocolate”.  This is my mom. Her name is Deborah Jones.  She is 54 years old. I had so much fun interviewing her, and I learned a lot about her. My Musical Tradition

Three are some that I have danced to multiple times. Dance is a really important part of my life as it is something that I have done since I was really young so it is something that I really love and will continue to love. I also sang a lot of the songs in this playlist once again from a very young age so I hope that singing will stick with me for a long time as well. A lot of the songs that are in my playlist are just normal songs that we use to dance or sing but some of my favorite songs are the Christmas-themed songs that we sing and dance to. Me and Music

  Hello all! I am JaPrincess Jones. I am a double major in Musical Theater and Dance here at Converse. I have been involved in music and dance all my life and got into the theater part very recently. My hope is that I will one day be on TV or the stage of Broadway.  My current go-to genre is currently Musical theater.
